Grade codes

The number in an A code follows the white whole grade with the same number and refers to the kernels as graded before roasting.

Example: A240

A240, for example, is graded to the WW240 range of 220–240 kernels per pound.

After roasting

Roasting removes some moisture, so a pound of the finished product can hold a few more kernels; if you need a count for the finished product, we agree it in the contract.

A170 on request

A170 (160–170 kernels per pound) is available on request.

Count ranges: White whole kernels and raw kernels with testa.
