Cashew kernels are used across retail snacks, roasting, confectionery, bakery, sauces, plant-based products and food service. The best grade is the one that meets the application’s appearance, processing and cost requirements—not simply the largest kernel.
Premium visible applications
Large whole grades can suit gift packs, premium retail formats and applications where visual presentation drives value. Buyers should assess count, color, uniformity, breakage and final roasting behavior.
Mainstream snacking and roasting
Mid-size whole grades are widely considered when buyers need a balance of appearance, availability and cost. Trial roasting helps confirm color development, texture, flavor and seasoning performance.
Confectionery, bakery and ingredients
Splits and pieces may offer better economics where kernels are chopped, coated, blended or used inside the finished product. Define sieve or piece-size expectations and the acceptable proportion of smaller fragments.
Raw with testa and roasted formats
Testa-on kernels can serve distinct regional snack and processing applications. Moisture, broken tolerance, processing status and shipment conditions must be stated clearly because these products are not interchangeable with standard white whole kernels.
Certification and market requirements
Halal, organic and other certification needs must be confirmed for the actual facility, product scope and lot. This article does not claim a universal “Premium Halal” status for Le Duong Cashew products. Buyers should provide their required scheme and document list before order confirmation.
Build the specification around the end use
Include grade, count or size, moisture, breakage, defects, sensory criteria, packing, label, quantity, destination, inspection and required documents. A small production or roasting trial can reduce risk before a larger purchase.
