Export packing, labelling and container loading
Carton formats, standard container loads, pallets, labels and shipping marks for Le Duong Cashew export orders. We plan every load against the maximum gross weight on the CSC plate of the container actually supplied and the road weight limits on the way to the port.
- Vacuum PE bags or tins
- 20'DC and 40'HC loads
- ISPM 15 wooden pallets
- Labels and shipping marks

Carton formats
| Inner packing per carton | Carton L × W × H (mm) | Net weight (kg) | Gross weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vacuum PE bags, 2 × 11.34 kg | 360 × 245 × 460 | 22.68 | 23.58 |
| Vacuum PE bag, 1 × 22.68 kg | 345 × 240 × 450 | 22.68 | 23.58 |
| Vacuum PE bags, 2 × 10 kg | 340 × 235 × 450 | 20.00 | 20.85 |
| Tins, 2 × 11.34 kg | 490 × 250 × 360 | 22.68 | 24.77 |
| Tins, 2 × 11.34 kg, with PE liners | 490 × 250 × 360 | 22.68 | 24.97 |
| Tins, 2 × 10 kg | 490 × 250 × 330 | 20.00 | 21.87 |
| Tins, 2 × 10 kg, with PE liners | 490 × 250 × 330 | 20.00 | 22.07 |
How the gross weight is made up
Gross weight per carton = net weight + inner packing (vacuum bags 0.15 kg each, or 0.30 kg for a 22.68 kg bag; tins 1.32 kg per pair of 10 kg tins or 1.50 kg per pair of 11.34 kg tins; PE liners 0.20 kg per pair) + carton (0.55–0.60 kg).
Standard container loads
| Container | Format | Cartons | Net weight (kg) | Gross cargo weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20' dry container (20'DC) | Vacuum PE, 22.68 kg per carton | 700 | 15,876 | 16,506 |
| 20' dry container (20'DC) | Tins, 2 × 10 kg per carton | 750 | 15,000 | 16,403 (16,553 with PE liners) |
| 40' high cube (40'HC) | Vacuum PE, 22.68 kg per carton | 1,200 | 27,216 | 28,296 |
| 40' high cube (40'HC) | Tins, 2 × 11.34 kg per carton | 1,150 | 26,082 | 28,486 (28,716 with PE liners) |
| 40' high cube (40'HC) | Tins, 2 × 10 kg per carton | 1,300 | 26,000 | 28,431 (28,691 with PE liners) |
For each tin format, the carton count shown is the maximum we load per container. Tins weigh more than vacuum bags, so a tin load carries less net weight. The 40'HC tin loads weigh 28,431 to 28,716 kg gross, close to or above the payload of many 40'HC containers: we load them in full only when the CSC plate of the container supplied and the road weight limits allow it, and otherwise load fewer cartons. Other formats, such as 2 × 11.34 kg tins in a 20'DC, 2 × 10 kg vacuum bags and palletised loads, are planned for each order against the CSC plate of the container and the road weight limits. We confirm the carton count in the quotation.
Raw kernels with testa (WA, up to 8.5% moisture): when the goods will stay in the container for more than 10 days, we recommend a reefer container; on short routes, such as to China, dry containers are normally used.
Container reference dimensions
| Container | Internal L × W × H (mm) | Door W × H (mm) | Volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20'DC | 5,900 × 2,352 × 2,395 | 2,340 × 2,292 | 33.2 m³ |
| 40'HC | 12,023 × 2,352 × 2,698 | 2,340 × 2,585 | 76.3 m³ |
Dimensions vary slightly between container owners. Tare weight, payload and maximum gross weight are taken from the CSC plate of the container actually supplied.
