Cashew Production Standards: What Export Buyers Should Check

The Le Duong Cashew

A production standard should translate into controlled activities and reviewable records. Export buyers can reduce risk by checking how a supplier manages specifications, material identity, processing, inspection, packing and shipment evidence.

Confirm the product identity

Use current product codes and grade definitions. Whole white kernels, testa-on raw kernels, roasted kernels and broken grades have different processing and shipment requirements. The contract should define count or size, moisture, breakage, defects, sensory condition and packing.

Review facility-specific documents

Certificates and test reports should be checked by legal operator, facility address, activity, product scope, issue date and validity. A general statement that a process meets “international standards” is not enough. Buyers can review the documents currently published in the Le Duong Cashew Document Centre and request shipment-specific evidence.

Understand the process controls

Ask how incoming material is identified, stored and released; how sorting and foreign-material controls operate; how moisture and physical defects are checked; and how nonconforming material is handled. Equipment descriptions should be supported by actual lot results.

Agree on testing

Testing requirements depend on product and destination. Define the laboratory, parameters, sampling method, acceptance limits and report timing before production. A historical test result should not be presented as evidence for every future lot.

Verify packing and dispatch

Confirm inner pack, vacuum integrity where applicable, carton marks, net weight, lot codes, loading plan, container condition, container number and seal. Link photographs and records to the finished lot.

Avoid unsupported capacity and health claims

Le Duong Cashew does not use an unverified daily-capacity figure as proof of order performance. Likewise, a production process should not be presented as creating medical benefits. Commercial decisions should rely on the agreed product, evidence and delivery plan.
